The City Council will sponsor the annual Dog Immunization Clinic on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Fire Hall at 109 Second Street S.W. Morristown, MN.
Proof of rabies and distemper shots are required to purchase a license. A dog license may be purchased on the day of immunization. Dog license fees are $ 5.00 per dog. All licenses expire April 30, 2011. If you do not attend the dog clinic, a license must be purchased prior to the expiration date. Owners who have not purchased dog tags by May 15, 2011 will be issued a ticket.
The City Council will continue to enforce Ordinance 139 which requires that all dogs over four months of age be licensed, prohibits dogs from running at large, makes it unlawful to permit an animal to trespass on public or private property and prohibits prolonged, habitual barking.
